Bogies, Brains and Bile
February 7, 2009
Lemon Tree, 3pm
Poor Sam’s not feeling well and the alien world inside Sam’s body has become all topsy-turvy: armies of cells fighting, organs partying, a volcanic belly and intestines knotted and confused. Oh, and it appears that some of the grey matter of Sam’s brain has gone on holiday to his costa del foot. Join Sam’s grey matter and the rest of his strange inside world as they seek to find the best way to make Sam well again.

A wacky and wonderful journey through the human body. Sam’s body has become all topsy-turvy: armies of cells fighting, organs partying, a volcanic belly and intestines knotted and confused. Join Sam’s grey matter and the rest of his strange inside world as they seek to find the best way to make Sam well again.

Creative Cities
February 6, 2009
I have been doing a lot of talking, and a lot of listening, about what the creative industries are.
This is some really interesting stuff from the US about the concept of Creative Cities. Does Aberdeen have the potential?
CEOs for Cities’ Creative Cities Network is a collaboration of urban leaders working together to understand of the opportunities associated with creative city concepts and to develop and apply strategies that take advantage of these opportunities in their communities. Learn more about the work of the network below. http://www.ceosforcities.org/
If everybody worked together…

There’s so much going on in Aberdeen right now, it’s amazing. Everyone I talk to has fascinating projects in the pipeline and there really feels like a momentum is building up and things are changing.

A Little Street Theatre Experiment
December 21, 2008
I was photographing Abderite Theatre as they were surprising Christmas shoppers in Aberdeen City Centre.
“The idea is that the happenings we will create will make people stop and take a few minutes out from rushing around doing their shopping to experience something different. It will be unexpected, fun, quirky, we want to put a smile on people’s faces.”

The Feeling
November 17, 2008
The Feeling at the Music Hall, Aberdeen
The world is in your hands
The world is in your hands
The world belongs to those of us who still believe we can
And it matters what you do
Though they all look down on you
Cos it’s better that you’ve come from nothing
Than nothing comes from you
We’ve got a place and it’s here for you
For all we ever wanted was a different view
I never knew somebody live with so much pain
If you open your heart come with us and we’ll take you away
