25 things about me..
February 12, 2009
Well, everybody else is doing it, so here is mine:
1. I know that this is being used for market research but am doing it anyway. Maybe it will make advertising more interesting…
2. My middle name is Kathryn
3. My father is Welsh, my mum is English
4. I am really enjoying being 30 (+) and have had an absolutely great time for the past year and a half
5. I want to make a difference to people’s lives and make the world a better place
6. I can play the violin (reasonably) and the saxophone (not so reasonably)
7. I used to swim for West Sussex
8. I am studying for an MBA in Cultural Management
9. I read incessantly. Usually novels and biographical novels.
10. I have worked for the Aberdeen International Youth Festival for 7 years
11. I live with a cat called Milly and two goldfish (that i share with Jo) called Gerrard and Bryan
12. My favourite author is Paolo Coelho
13. I used to listen Chi Mai by Ennio Morricone before exams
14. I lived in Venice for three months, but still can’t speak much Italian
15. I lived in London for four years and still miss the bright lights
16. I have 2 sisters, 1 foster brother and 12 cousins
17. I like taking photos and painting. I had one exhibition of paintings at University and would like to do another one someday
18. I drink at least one glass of milk everyday
19. I don’t believe in God and I think religion is dangerous
20. I think that people are what matter, really are the only thing that matters. I believe that everyone is ultimately good and has something valuable to contribute to the world
21. I organise my books and cds in order of the colour of their spines. I find too much colour visually distressing, that’s why I like Aberdeen, it’s all grey.
22. I believe that unless you risk getting hurt you can’t experience any real happiness
23. The most beautiful thing i ever heard was the UPCC singing I believe I can fly from the balcony of the James Mackay Room at the University Reception for AIYF 2006
24. (I’m copying this from Georgi) but I too have learned in the last year that I have the best friends anyone could ever ask for.
25. I am completely and truly happy with everything in my life and feel lucky every day

The Miser
Tabola Rassa (Spain)
Harpagon is a penny pinching, grouchy old man. His grown-up children are costing him far too much money and must be married off…but he is determined not to pay for the weddings.
Harpagon’s most valuable asset is far too precious to be spent on the inessentials of life, and having spent a lifetime accumulating it, he is determined to protect his investment at all costs. So begins this sparkling, updated adaptation of one of French dramatist Moliere’s most famous comedies.
Whether in 17th century France or in this version set in contemporary Spain where water is at a premium and every character is a tap, the basic human instincts and behaviours of greed and covetousness are just the same, and their unintended consequences are very funny!
Over the past four years, leading Spanish company Tabola Rassa has performed this uniquely quirky and engaging adaptation of a classic dramatic text with stylish and expertly manipulated object animation to great acclaim all over the world.
